The RochesterDSM One Lap of America team is proud to announce that Forced Performance has signed on to sponsor us this year.
Forced Performance is sending us one of there killer Evo X "Green" turbos. With its 73mm HTA compressor wheel and revised 65mm exhaust wheel (designed like the Evo X Red) this turbo packs a punch. All of that high tech wheel goodness is carefully installed in a stock Evo X turbo with a few FP secret mods to ensure a solid lifetime of tearing it up.
So what's the big deal about another Green turbo from FP? First this ones got real world compressor flow out to 54lbs/min which means the One Lap Evo X is going to pull like a freight train. But its all packaged in the Evo X's killer twin scroll turbine housing which means quick spool up and good transient response.
Another benefit of using the stock turbo architecture is easy install and the dependability of the stock Mitsubishi oil and water lines. The last thing you want to worry about when you're 3600 miles from home is turbo problems.
We will have more photos and a blog detailing the install and the dyno results. For now you can read more about it here on our website.
