i have a question and i couldnt really find any answers>>!!umm well i just put a new power steering pump in and someone told me you bleed the lines by taking the cap off and turning the wheel back and forth both ways.!!well i jacked it up and did that and yes alot of air came out but it still isnt working.?please help.

Have you tried pouring in the fluid, then driving like a mad man in a parking lot, then filling it some more, and so on? Should help get the bubbles out.

Jack the front end up so it makes it easier to turn the wheel. Then with the cap off turn the steering wheel as far left as it will go and then far right as it will go. Just keep doing this a couple times. Also be sure to make sure you don't let the fluid level get too low or you'll be in the same place you were before.

I'd also do the same thing on the ground once you think you've done it enough on jack stands, turning the wheel a couple more times never hurtas.

Park the front wheels on cardboard, warm it up, turn the wheel against the stop until you hear the pressure relief bleeding, then go to the other stop and do the same. Do each side three times and you should be done.
