Ok.. my powersteering mount bolt that threads into the block snapped the head right off and part of the bolt is still in the block? How can I get it out so I can replace it. The motor is still in the car and it is in a pretty hard position to get into. Anyone? thanks

you mean for the power steering pump bracket? Unbolt all the rest, take the bracket off to expose the rest of the bolt... use a pair of lock pliers, and lock them TIGHT, around the bolt and turn... If you can't... only way to pull this off would b e to cut the bolt off flush from the block, and get a drill out kit, drill out the bolt, by the time you get to the end of the bolt, it should be soo weak, that it will just screw right out.

I think your best bet is to take the front roll stop mount loose and the passenger side motor mount loose and jack the engine up. Once you have the engine jacked up you might be able to get an easy out in it just make sure to center punch the broken stud so you get it in the middle. Or you can try tapping it around counter clockwise with a punch and hammer. If you can't get to it then I don't know what to tell you. I don't have all my bolts for the PS in but I don't have a belt on it either. Best of luck, let us know what happens.

Well there should be a bracket for the Power Steering, if it broke at the head... then when he gets the Power Steering off, there will be some bolt stuck out, very hard to use an easy out on a bolt thats stuck out.

Best bet is to drown it in liquid wrench and use the lock wrench.

An alternate way would be to drill a hole through the bolt perpendicular to the bolt, than put a metal rod through the hole and use that as your grip.

P.S. Be careful next time.

Or PB... Let that stuff soak... I like the hole through the bolt idea... But you'd have to use a dremmel to do that... it would be soo difficult to drill on a round surface like that.

the thing is the bolt actually snapped off while i was driving.. crazy, but it snapped off and is about an 1/8th" into the block, could I use an ease out?? soak it in some PB for sure before I do it..

Soak it in PB First... make sure everything is out of the way and you have room to work, You can use an easy out, or make your own, If you were to use a drill bit that is just like a microscopic size smaller then the bolt... drill that bi*** out. And you should be set.
