Are all the wiring harnesses for the 2gb Spyder's the same? I have a 99 Eclipse GS spyder with the 2.4L 4G64 and I'm trying to figure out whether all the Spyder's have the plug for power seats on the harness. Thanks!

Don't quote me on this because I really don't know for sure but, I don't see why they wouldn't be. There is a good possibility that they made a different harness for the n/t cars then they did for the turbo'd cars but I would think that since all you have to do is wire in the wires that are missing from the n/t harness in the 1G cars to make them turbo harnesses that it would be the same basic setup for the 2G n/t harness and the 2G turbo harness for the interior of the vehicle. I could be way off on this so I wouldn't take this as an answer. I would wait until someone that knows for sure answers or someone can look at the harnesses for a n/t and a turbo 2G can confirm or debunk this.

My thinking behind this is, some of the cars come with fog lights and some don't. Same with the electric sunroof. The manufacturer is not going to make a different harness for the car for a minor accessory change that is made on the car. This is why I believe the harness is the same for the n/t and the turbo for the interior of the 2G cars whether n/t or turbo/

If you can't reach under there and feel, it's two nuts and two bolts to yank the seats. Plus, you'll earn six dollars from the job in found change.
I expect the harness to have the plugs in place, but come back and tell us what you find so we'll know.

I don't know if I'd bother with the DSM excuse for a "power" seat. It only works the bottom cushion. You still have to work the backrest by hand. It's like those cars that won't let the back window roll more than half-way down.

Ok, the back windows only roll halfway down, because the rear wheelwell cuts into the door, leaving too small of a door cavity to fit the window inside. Why are the DSM power seats half assed?
