POWER loss

i got a 91 tsi talon with 3inch apexi exhaust and everything else stock i replaced spark plug wires spark plugs fuel pump fuel filter and nothing seems to work.the problem is when i puch it it starts to accelerate but when it hits about 4k it seems like theres no power behind it but when i just start it up in the morning and go run it it would run fine its weird. boost doesnt leak or anything..... its so weird it takes like 3 min to reach redline when i punch it .... when i bought the fuel filter it helped a little and when i installed a new fuel pump it solved my problem but nowa week later it went back to the same problem... pLEASE HELP

What brand of plugs are they? Use only ngk bpr6es or 7es depending on you mods. These motors are very picky on what plug they use and also check the gap of the plugs

hmmm.... are you sure about that? check ALL your IC hoses to make sure they are on tight, it may look like its on but it could have actually popped off, tug on them and you will know if its on or not. might seem stupid but its happened to me b4. Just a suggestion

no no no,
first you need to pull your intake pipe off to see if your turbo is still OK. check for shaft play [grab the comp wheel by the nut] and move it side to side and in and out. If when you do this the wheel hits the compressor housing, That means your turbo is about to give up. Also, you may have no shaft play but there is oil everywhere... in your pipes, in your intake arm, etc. this indicates that your turbo has bearing failure...

NEXT, if you're sure your turbo is still OK, go BUILD a boost leak tester. you CANNOT visually see if boost leaks are there [besides the obvious ones]. after that, hook it up to a compressor and take some soap and water to all of your "potential" boost leak areas. they'll bubble once you run the test.

NEXT, if you pass that test, and you're still running like crap.. go ahead and do a compression test. perhaps one of your cylinders has shit the bed.

then if that's not hte case, you have several other things to do. I.E., check timing, spark, fuel.
