So I did the 6 bolt swap but I did the complete swap meaning I didnt keep the 2g head. My question is I have a random misfire code and I looked at the 1g in a 2g magnus motorsport write up and it said this code will pop up when using the 2g head on a 1g. So since I kept the 6 bolt head should I still connect the potentiometer or do I have another problem???

The potentiometer fix is the old school way of fixing the Random Misfire code. But it still works, kinda.

If you have a eprom ecu, a chip with Inverted CAS code would be a better option. Your injectors will fire at the correct time and car will run better.

With the potentiometer fix your injector will fire during exhaust stroke instead of intake, because you are using a non invert CAS with a inverted CAS ecu.

Your best options are:

1) Potentiometer fix and swap injector wires. Car will still have occasional stumble/misfire issues. Not run at full potential.

2) If you have a 95 Eprom ecu, DSMChip with Inverted CAS code or DSMLink.

3) Switch to a non inverted CAS ecu (97-99). 97s are cheap. 98-99s are more expensive, but can be flashed.

I am running a 95 ecu and a I think a 92 CAS, the green top one. I had new plugs in there but I have not bought new wires yet but I will.
So Ceddy are you saying I have to get a 97-99 ecu and that will give me the best performance??
I have the two wires from the coil pack switched so I am running the stock 1g firing order.
