If done properly it will help eliminate the random misfire that is commonly found when a 6bolt swap is done on a 2g.

what is the random misfire from? What else can solve this? DSM link? Im interested.

random missfire is exactly what it sounds like a random missfire usually at cruising speeds around 3500rpm. Yes link can get rid of it but if your not doing a 6bolt swap you really have nothing to worry about.

well the car im looking at has a 6 bolt swap so... Guess ill have to look into it. How does dsm link fix the problem?

does the computer not register something? Does the knock sensor activate for a second retarting timing? What goes on? Does anyone know? Does everyone at one point see this?

ahh so the ecu actually scans for the misfire, and if a glitch or whatever happens that signal goes back and start the ongoing process? Sounds simple enough. Since the dsm link seems like a have to have item, it shouldn't be that bad. Thanks man!
