Who has a copy of this magnus site is down for that section. I would like to Vfaq it if someone gives me a link to it.

The POT mod is very simple. I am not sure what you are asking as I have not seen the Magnus site. Just go to radioshack and get a variable resistor (I believe mine is 1/2 watt) and just hook it up by the ECU on the barometric pressure sensor wire. Then turn it all the way to one side and drive the car. If the problem persists, turn it the other way. If for some wierd reason it still does not work, add more resistance. Remember to retune after installing it as it will cause you to run lean. Other than that, for 6 bolt in 2g, just change the injector wires on the ecu harness and I think thats about it.

Thank you Treebonker has posted it in another thread on the 6bolt in a 2g thread I started it involves what you told me pretty much. How did the mod work for you? How much did you change your afc settings? Do you have to change the settings across the boad? right from 1000 RPM up?

I would be cautious in doing this mod, not only does it make you run lean, also adds timing. Sure adding some timing wouldn't be bad at all,... but too much and....... well you get the picture I'm sure. I have heard of some motors going toasty because of this mod, so just be careful if you are set upon using it. Some questions to ask yourself before doing this, have you rewired the injectors? Set base timing? I did the POT mod for a bit myself before I heard the nasty little rumor, then I took the time and wired the Injectors and set my timing and the random misfire dissappeared completely. Another alternitive is just upluging your TPS if it bugs you that bad, sure you loose all your AFC setting but I would just unplug mine until I went to the track to get rid of the missfire.

Peace Out :dsm:

I rewired the injectors and etc as per RRE. I may try retarding the timing a little or a little more not sure im about 1-2* retarded from the logger's base but I get 25* advance at WOT in a 3rd gear run at .96 volts on the O2
