Hey, can anyone tell me how hard it is to replace the positive battery cable?

Mine is shot (the clamp is completely tightened and it won't fasten tightly) and it killed my turbo timer whilst driving it jiggled on and off.

On a side note, could this have blown fuses causing weird electrical problems now?

Thanks,

R

Splice the positive cable, get a new terminal at wallyworld and tighten it to the new terminal and you should be set.

awesome. It seems like an easy problem in retro, but I've got so many problems...I don't know where to start....the car is just sitting in parking spot taking up $60/month....I'd like to get it running.

Any guess on hopping the power cable causing busted fuses and the like?

Its a DSM bro...almost anything's possible ROFL. Make sure you clean the battery terminals off really well, Coke works, dry it off, then use battery terminal grease, the little packets they sell at Autozone at the front desk. That stuff will prevent corrosion from forming...

ok, new battery clamp in and tight... my lights won't turn on - so I pop the hood, pop th fuse box cover off .... there seem to two fuses for the headlamps...one is the larger type in the middle bank and the other the smaller type to the left....any help on which ones will do the trick?

hmmm...neither are blown. then I noticed power door locks not working...check the fuse there....its blown...I replace it and try door locks - make a grinding noise in the door and then finally the lock activates...guess I'm going to have to take the door panel off.

Any guesses on why headlights not working? Sucks not being able to drive at night.
