What's up fellas, on my 98 eclipse RS I'm havig a bit of an issue. It's a 5 speed standard, and let's say for example I'm cruising at 40mph in 3rd gear, if I accelerate the rpms will shoot up about 1000-1500 rpms then go back to wear they were before I accelerated , and then slowly start climbing as I gain speed. I'm not an expert with these cars by any means, so any advice would be extremely helpful.

Probably. The car has 270k miles on it. Oh also what is a good clutch set up to get ? I've looked at eBay ones. I want somethin better than stock, but I ain't gonna buy a stage 4 racing clutch with a puny 200hp. (If that )

Clutch is slipping. Look at F1 clutches off ebay. Stage 2 or 3 would be fine, I would recommend a stage 2.

Have put those clutches ina 350Z and Mazdaspeed Protege and they are great clutches
