Hey, everyone. Today I happened to be driving down some back roads today and noticed a red 1GB sitting in a yard. It looked to be sitting collecting dust. Recently I have been looking for a project car and I was just wondering if its possible to tell if it is a tubo/non-turbo from a glance. For example trim, color, wheels, foglights, etc.
Didn't have time to stop and ask about the car. Any help appreciated, or hopefully someone could point me in the right direction?

its really hard to tell just by looking at a quick glance. sure they have their differences but so often parts are swapped from one car to another. for example, my 1.8 talon has tsi side skirts and gst wheels. as well as an eclipse front bumper. so you cant tell if its turbo or not...or even if its a talon or eclipse ROFL
id say stop and look

It was a eclipse for sure. It was just going to be awhile before I could go all the way back to check it out.

- on AWD vehicles (STOCK HEIGHT) you can usually see the rear differential a tiny bit.
- most turbos came with twin tip exhaust, n/t were single exhaust
- Badging identification..but this can be misrepresented.
- sometimes the side mount intercooler is visible through the front bumper, more so the 97+ vehicles, RARELY can you really spot it
- Premium Unleaded Fuel on the gauge bezel
- The Ghey stock boost gauge
