Possible to disassemble an OEM pump?

I've got a 97 gst that i'm going to take the motor apart, the previous owner had a bearing failure and has very fine particulate bearing shavings in the oil. The oil pump on there was a new OEM unit with only a few thousand miles. Are the the oil pumps something i can take apart, clean/wash and re-assemble? or do i need a new front case?

Yup, you can dissassemble it and clean it. Check the specs to ensure they are all fine before going and cleaning it however.

This is how they are rebuilt. Yes you can take them completly apart.
