So I got a new 16G to replace my old one with blown seals and the inlet on this thing is ported to all hell.

My Exhaust Manifold I am using is stock and not ported and I was wondering if it would be worth taking it in somewhere to have it ported to match or would it not be worth the time and money?

Any opinions?:thumb:

It would be good to match it but it's not needed. You are going from a small outlet to a large inlet and not vice versa.

I would just get a carbide bit and die grinder and go to town just watch for the gasket flange. I ported my 2g exhaust manifold on my 1g when i found a crack 8" long.

I have none of the tools required so I would be looking at somewhere between $100-150 just to port it myself. The consensus I have been getting from many people is that because it is going from smaller diameter to larger it will not be a substantial gain as long as the turbo is already ported. I think I will leave it as is..
