Porting Manifold Collector Lip to 7cm

I am to have my turbo off this weekend and was thinking about taking a dremmel to the little lip in the collector of the manifold. Will the dremel do the job for this little bit of porting? Anyone see a problem with porting it out with the manifold still on the car?

You would be better off with a carbide bur and a high speed drill. Thats what I used....with a dremel and a sand stone you would be all day and plus you would go through a million little sand stones before you got it done.

I would take the manifold off to do it. That way you can get all the metal slivers out.

A dremel will work, but it will probably take a while to do. I used an air powered die grinder w/ a carbide bit on it. Works MUCH faster.

I am thinking to porting my turbo and mani as well. I need help on what kind i bit i need though. I no you guys mention carbide bit, but what does it look like and where can i get them babies at. How much does they usually cost?

I will also be using an air powered die grinder w/ carbide bit on it. im wondering how long it took you (i know you gotta take your time) to port the mani? just so i have an idea of how long the job will take and im assuming u took the mani off?
