I am about to purchase a ported O2 Housing for my car and was a little concerned about the porting. I know the divider was taken in quite a bit and that seems to be quite a debate on here. Some do it to prevent boost creep and others say dont do it.

I have attached a pic and would like to know if this o2 housing would have any adverse affects on my BB 50 trim internally gated 20psi 93 octane car with 3in dump. Probably race gas and more boost when I have the time to go to the track this summer.

I couldnt see that as being good, seems like it would mix the exhaust from your wastegate and the exhaust from your turbo... I doubt you will see THAT much of a difference, if its a good price buy it

LSE performance has a lipp o2 housing that doesn't have a divider and PTE sells turbine housings without a divider.

There are many theories out there, this is one of them. In theory it hurts performance but no one I know has done any real world testing on it. There are a few car manufacturers out there that make o2 housings without a divider - Subaru and MX6, for example.

If it the divider bothers you that much, find another o2 housing that doesn't have the divider removed.

I never bought into PTE's idea of griding away part of the turbine housing in order to prevent boost creep. For one thing, you couldn't use an externally-dumped o2 housing (also prevents boost creep) with that modified turbine housing or it would sound like you had an open exhaust under the hood ALL the time.

There's a reason the housing is divided from factory. By combining the chambers you're solving one problem, but it may be creating three more....who knows.
