I'm wanting to upgrade my IM, and have been reading from some people that porting a 2g IM is a waste on stock head. Should I port my IM or get an evo III IM or something. Also am i going to need to port my head regardless?

Get an EvoIII or the RVR intake manifold. It's much better than the 2g manifold. If you go with the RVR you'll need to port the inlet hole to match up a 1g throttle body where as an EvoIII manifold is already at 60mm.

You can use a 1g TB as well on your car. You would just need to transfer over your TPS from the 2g unit.

The flange size is the same for both 1g and 2g, just the inlet hole is a different diameter. I'm personally using a ported out RVR IM with a NT TB.
