Pops out of 5th...Vfaq fix done

I had a problem with my 3rd gear in my awd popping out and decided to get it rebuilt by TRE and get the stage 2 rebuild. Jon at TRE told me it was because the dog teeth were to worn out to keep in gear. The reason for the worn dog teeth were that my bearings were not set to proper specs and had excessive play in them, thus causing worn out dog teath.

Hope this helps out

There could be many reasons, could be your hub/slider/slider keys are worn out. Could also be one of the ball detents... There's a series of 3 ball detents on the front of the trans, you might consider shimming the 5th/reverse detent to add some tension to it.
