So i am tired of beating my head against the wall on this one:banghead:, anybody had this problem before? so when i turn to the left and accelerate i get a popping noise from passenger side rear area, it seems to only do it when i give a load to that side, also does it intermittently when accelerating in a straight line just when rear is load like in a launch. It does not speed up with my mph it just pops about 2-3 times a sec no matter what mph so i don't think its cv. all suspension part have been visually checked bushings couplers etc... WHERE DO I GO NEXT?

CV axle clicks on turns. I'd say that's what it is as I've had 4-5 go out on me with the exact symptoms.

struts are newer, ball joints newer, wheel bearing has no play at all, it's weird the rotor is almost all the way against the brake dust cover and on driver side i have like a inch of room like that cv is too short.most of everything else is 20 yrs. old. yeah im leaning toward cv but it's weird it does'nt speed up or slow down with mph. and i forgot to say it does'nt seem to get worse or better it has stayed same noise level since i got the car. is there any bushing's back there that i don't know bout. :notgood: this is no bueno is there any body else that thinks it's cv

I would suggest pulling the CV for a better look. If you can see that the boot is broken, chances are that its broken. This is often a first sign that the CV is nearing replacement. as a CV joint goes from bad to worse it will begin to click no matter what, and will then eventually snap (which will be fun). Another suggestion would be to check the torque on the Hubs, this can do damage if over torqued.

I know this is a real old thread but did you ever fix this problem? I am having the same type of noise. Something on my passenger side rear wheel clicks pretty bad and sometimes vibrates when the car squats under heavy acceleration in 2nd and sometimes in 3rd gear. I also had my driveshaft carrier bearings replaced last summer so that's not it.
