When it comes to the 14 B what are the best ways to go about Polishing and cleaning?

When it comes to the intake housing and turbo itself, is there any form of aluminum waxes that you can use on it? I.E "Mothers aluminum and Mag Polish"

What type of cleaner do you recommend on removing grease and dirt from the entire turbo?

Are there any spots or areas on the turbo that should not be polished or cleaned?

Thanks for all the replies

Use brake clean to clean the exterior of the compressor housing. You can polish it with an aluminum wax of sorts but I find it easy to get a small wire wheel for a dremel and so it that way. Also smooths out the surface of the turbo. Make sure to over the inlet of the turbo so any debris doesn't get in the compressor housing.

I used a wire-wheel on my clutch drill, and then a dremel to smooth out. Then I used a scotch-brite pad to get a nice finish.

Ok Thanks everyone. I'm gonna go with brake cleaner.

The Turbo Itself is a very clean turbo, it just has some grease on it and whatnot..

Then after I clean it off, Ill use some mothers aluminum polish.

Thanks
