PocketLogger.

I have a buddie who gave me his pocketlogger cable today, we were cleaning out his garage and he said to take it since he runs DSM link now. but it seems like its a hassle to try and get the software from Digital Tuning for pocketlogger. plus they want a $25 transfer fee which i think they should not charge considering my buddie bought all of this along time ago.

But i could care less about the pocketlogger software if i could use another program for it.

like OBDgauge or tunerstein is it ??? Would those work with my pocketlogger cable ?


I had a multiplex cable awhile back, and well it broke pretty easily so im getting kind of irritated that i keep dumping money into datalogging.....

If you want to use it, OBDGauge and tunerstein are fine for what minimal purpose a logger serves.

I dont see why either one of those wouldnt work with the pocketlogger cable. Its just hte cable. I would down load tunerstien or obdgauge and give it a try with the logger cable.

That's what I was implying. It's a free download, so why not try it with your serial cable. AFAIK, that cable is a universal-type. The only interfaced one common to DSMs is the one DSMLink users have.

ive read on a few car sites that the cable only works with the pocketlogger software.....arrrg.. well hopefully tommarow ill get an email back that i sent friday night. well see.

but today i finally was able to get some help from them and should have a full legal version of the software tommarow. then ill burn a copy to cd incase a computer crashes again.

I've been thinking about downloading the OBDGauge and Tunerstien onto my Palm even though I already have Pocketlogger. I figure "the more the merrier."

I never got OBD gauge to work on my palm, palm n stein was fine though.

i tried OBDgauge and Palmnstein last night with my pocketlogger cable. no luck. didnt work

sucks cause i cant get the log files on the computer now....... java isnt working right.
