Sorry I tried searching and I can't seem to find another post with my problem. I have a pocketlogger and have been using it for a while. It's having connectivity issues. Its hit or miss with this thing. It works great and connects sometime and other times it will give me a waiting for connection dealie the whole time.
I know its properly registered and it works because I've logged a buncha stuff with it already. Now ever so often when I plug it in just get "waiting for connection". I've done the bit test and everything. I try plugging it and powering it up in different combinations and it doesn't work. I have to kind of fiddle around with the ECU harness to get it to work.
But yesterday I go to clear a CEL and nothing. So I fiddle with the ECU harness kind of press on the ECU connectors and it starts working. Its working great now I EXIT the pocketlogger program and start it up again and I get the dreaded waiting to connect again. So I try reseating the cables and stuff and after like 15 mins of fiddling with it (I also I try turning the car to just on and starting the car also.) Finally it starts to connect again. So I try to exit the software again and start it up and try to connect and WHAM same problem. Why is this thing so inconsistent.
SO I thought maybe it's my car so I go and try to hook it up to my sisters 2003 prius, newer ODBII dealie and I get nothing won't connect at all. Whats the deal with this thing? I always think its my car or the cable or something. But now I actually think its the software. Is there some special way to start this thing up. I usually just go to the ODB logger icon and just go to Diagnostic or Datalog and it'll work when it does work.
Oh also I'm using the version 2.1 pocketlogger if that helps at all. THis is very frustrating because you never know when this thing will work or not.
