*EDIT* New log at bottom.

I just bought a palm with pocketlogger and MMCD installed already. He took it off his car when he upgraded, so its known working. I hooked it up to the car, and it wont log at all. In Pocketlogger it will read the parameters and whatnot, it just wont log. When I hit log, it says unable to connect, please check your connections. Ive tried to switch the 2 black wires around and still the same thing. Red wire is connected to the top right prong(clip facing up).

It gets power and everything it just says it cannot connect to log.

And on the MMCD program, I just have no idea at all how to log, LOL.. Do I just click monitor, as im going WOT or what?

Ive tried searching around on here, but nothing helpful with my problems.

Pop in those two exhaust studs, otherwise yeah seafoam or smoke machine test it.

Let us know what happens.:thumb:

OK, new log... I still dont know how/if i can upload the logs. But ill explain it the best I can.

This time I did a 3rd gear log, instead of the previous 2nd gear logs.

From about 5900-6400 RPM's it's logging 43 counts of knock @ 6* timing.. WOW. This is all WOT at 8psi boost.89% INDC. I logged the O2-R parameter this time, and its in the mid-upper 60's throughout the whole WOT log. I have no idea to relay this voltage into AF's, nor am I sure if its even a reliable source for AF being a narrowband.

Not sure if it matters, but the Battery voltage when the 43 counts of knock occured was only 11.6 volts, seems a little low to me.

The MAFS maxed out at 1599 Hz, also when the knock occured. Again, im not sure if this can be translated into anything useful?

My WB is reading mid 14's AFR during WOT pulls, I dont believe its even accurate at all. Ive got a new sensor coming, to test that out.

Holy !#$%

I wouldn't push it like that until you get it situated and resolved. 43 counts is off the chartsOMG

But yes, 3rd and 4th gear pulls have more load compared to a 1st or 2nd gear pull. The fact that your o2 was in the 60's as to 80's or 90's says something IMO. It's no wonder that you're knocking like crazy though. 89% IDC at 8psi = shit tons of fuel, but your WB a/f is reporting otherwise.

Talk about ghosts, goblins, and phantom stuff going on.... test for that leak asap!

That will be sunday. I was very surprised by the knock count too. No wonder the top end of 3rd gear felt like it wasnt going anywhere. 43 counts of knock, and as low as 4* timing ROFL

Is seafoam bad for the turbo or sensors? Ive never used that stuff.

No. It works great! And it will let you see if your manifold is leaking.

Where is your wideband o2 sensor located? Is your car really a gs-t? Because your profile sounds like it used to be non-turbo. Check for any CEL codes with MMCD as well. Does the car run well aside from the WOT issues?

Car runs great in and out of boost, for the most part. The car is a GST, the guy I bought it from took the turbo off and replaced it with a NA header for some reason..

But yes, the motor is a 4G63T.

Ill do the seafoam sunday. And the AEM sensor is located in the bend of the downpipe, about a foot or foot and a half from the turbo. Before the Flex section

Another symptom Ive just noticed. When the car is at idle (~ 1300rpm) for a few seconds, it kind of pops just 1 time pretty quietly, the idle drops down to about 1000rpm and the vac goes from 20 to about 18-19. When it pops, the AF ratio goes from about 16:1 to off the charts, meaning just 3 little - - -, meaning its too lean to register.

I know its not related, but when the idle drops to about 1000 the low oil psi light kinda flickers and somtimes stays on until I press the gas a little bit. The oil PSI gauge reads fine at idle, so im guessing thats a wire/electrical problem..
