pocket logger OR zeitronix wide band

i want to begin tuning my car, but i'm stuck between buying a pda datalogger and the zeitronix wideband.

i'm understanding that with the wideband i would be tuning by rpm, throttle and air fuel ratio. while with the pda i'll be tuning by rpm, throttle and timing.

the pda datalogger should cost about 100 to 150 less than the zeitronix wideband. but do you think the wideband is worth paying the extra cash for?

You really should have both. So I wouldnt choose one over the other, but If it came down to it I would choose the pocket logger. If you have enough for a Wideband why not just get a dsmlink for a bit more and call it a day? Good luck.

I just installed/tuned a DSMLink in my buddy's 95 GS-T, do your self a favor and just buy the DSMLink. Then when you start getting a bigger turbo, injectors, etc. you will want to get a wideband, they do help with tuning A LOT. Good luck.

i have a brand new apexi afc 2 in my closet that i would have used with the wide band or pocket logger to tune with. however after reading these responses, i just pulled my ecu out and checked and it is the eprom type. so for now i ill tune with the fpr and just save for the dsmlink.
