plse HLP me engine spitting oil

seriously need some help im building my first 1g dsm and i got a jdm 4g63t engine and whn i dropped the engine in its spittin oil through the turbo and car wont go pass forty im thinkin an oil ring but please help thanks

I guess we are confused with "spitting oil", are you able to see oil leaking on the intake side of the turbo when the engine is running? Is the turbo spinning at all when the engine is running? It the intake side of the turbo is loaded with oil then it's reasonable to think the Intercooler has also become loaded with oil and must be cleaned.

If you are in doubt about pistons and rings then you need to do a compression test, don't forget to hold the throttle wide open and allow 3-4 compressions for each cylinder. If you have questionable results then do a leak down test.

So far I have no opinion on why it won't go past 40 unless the timing is badly off. There are several other reasons including inadequate fuel pressure etc.
