I recently just took my engine from the talon to a new eclipse and also bolted on the new 50 trim witch was a rebuild, well today i was reving the engine up to 4500 rpm and seeing how the sttuderbox works but while i was doing this noticed that there was some white smoke and little drops of water coming out of the exhaust. I hope is not the cometic headgasket since the engine was running with no problem before, did notice that with the apexi n1 does come out with an angle of 25 to 35 degrees and since it has been raining a lot laitly i thought there was water in the exhaust and the fact that the sprinkle system hits the car everyday. The car beens sitting for about a week so far and this just happened today any input would be appreciated.

Thanks, Javier

Start your car and let it idle for a while. If the smoke goes away, it was just condensation (most likely).

In the case of a headgasket, with the Cometic, you're supposed to have both the head and block decked so it seals properly. Did you do this?

Also, does it do it when starting? Does it doing when driving? In boost or out of boost or both? Only when you let off the throttle?

Exactly...:thumb:

The block and head were decked and it does it when i start the car but you could barely see it sometimes, i havent had a chance to drive the car buti will this weekend and i will let you guysknow the outcome.

If the sprinklers hit it everyday, and this has been sitting for a few days, and it is only smoking a little and you can barely see it, its probably just the condensation, and water getting in there. Let us know the outcome after driving it.

I will defenetly let you guys know but, and yes at idle you could barely see it but when u rev the engine it is more noticable dont know id that make more of a diffrence or not.

Ok guys i think the problem is something else, as i stated before i took my engine from my talon and put it in the new eclipse that i had purchased. Well the 7 bolt that was in the eclipse had a blown t25 witch had a lot of crazy shaft play and supposly a bad piston ring, the car was also sitting at his house for months. Well when i took the sidemount off it was full with oil so i am gessing that the 3 inch n1 exhaust that the car came with was full of the oil from the turbo that went bad but when i ran the car for almost 30 min to burn any oil in there the car still keeps smoking and the smoke is now whitish blue. A friend told me that if i started the car with the cap off whare you put the water in and the water did not go up like crazy with bubbles then is not the hg so i also asked about the new turbo and he stated that his boosted with no problem but oil was still bypassing something and the oil was burning. Any of you guys opinion on this would be really apreciated.

Thank you.
