please please help with idle problem

Okay car is 96 gst with big t28 and upgraded fuel pump the problem im having is the car runs fine has good power but once it warms completly up the idle rises from 800 to 2300 it will first go to about 1500 then 2 k then stop at 2300 or so does not happen until car is drivin for 30 min or so. I did the test for for idle air control motor and dont know were to go next any ideas would be nice

your fan turning on and off at all?

Yes one fan kicks on then off temp gauge never goes over half way

fan cycles on and off?? like.. high idel, fan on, goes down, fan stops?

No as in fan cycles on and off like its suposed to and has no effect on the idle

mmkay cuz my car was doing something like yours but the fan was going in / out..
search for erratic idel.. in search.. maybe you can find someone with a similar problem

Okay i did some testing and no vacum leaks so i went a head and cleaned out the throttle body as it did have some gunk in it and that made the high idle worse so im preaty sure my faiv is shot ive seen a few different wats on the forums to block it any one done it and whats the best choice?
