PLEASE help me..CEL light

OK trying to get my 98 gst to pass inspection...i took it to a mechanic and he said its throwing a code for throttle position sensor..and i just replaced it yesterday...the mechanic says theres a update for it and thats y its throwing the code??...idk what to do anymore...its throwing 2 codes...p1105 which is fuel pressure solenoid(cant find this part no where) dealership says it could be called emissions control valve?...and p0120 which is tps...Please any help..im desperate!

i would check the wiring, the two issues have wires that run pretty close to each other..

I'm surprised they don't let you bypass the test. Our emission testing station says all 97-99 eclipse gst/gsx get immediate bypass because of a ecu error. Ask your mechanic to print you out a bypass. I haven't had to pass in 2 years now all they do is the quick exhaust sniffer test.

I have 99 gsx with the same code p1105 (fps) takes alot of cranking to get the car started havent tried bypassing the solenoid yet to see if that would help I dont know But what is this about 97-99's getting a waved through emissions for ecu error i live in delaware and im trying to get my car through inspection failed for this code where can i get more info. on this ecu error

P1105 is a bi***... I've bypassed it, replaced it, and the fps dtc never goes away.., I used to just pay to pass it until I got dsmlink to hide it

Can't you just take out the CEL bulb from behind the gauge cluster?

Once there is a CEL, they can't pass it. It sounds like they even plug in the diagnostic computer there. Here they just fail it if the light is on.

For some reason my CEL always comes on when I start up to leave the emissions test.

WHEW.

But I have some A/F issues at the moment.
