my car is only showing that i can only get 8psi, it is a 95 bone stock gsx, it always boosted at15, no i changed the bov and still same problem,

i even unhooked the wasted gate vacum and only got 9 psi, what can it be please help

He was calling me all yesterday on this... I told him to do a boost leak test with throttle plate open, I told him to check the wastegate arm and make sure it is on the flapper, I told him to tug on the arm(he said it was tight like a spring), Then i told him he needs to take the o2 housing off and inspect the flapper and make sure it didnt break off.

There just ins't that many things outside of the wastegate and intercooler piping that will cause him to only get 8 lbs... It has to be related to the turbo/wastegate assem.

It sounds like a boost leak to me. Test it out! Just reroud the hoses and see if you get 15psi then. i helped a buddy reroute his vacuum hoses and it was easy. Good luck

i did a boost leak test yesterday and everything seemed to check out ok but i will check my lines again to make sure everything is good.

What did you pressurize the system to? Are you sure your lines are not hooked up backwards? What MBC do you have, maybe its defective...?

If i had a dollar for everytime I head that from a DSM owner.... I would have a lot of dollars.

It literally has to be a boost leak or something with the wastegate actuator or flapper... nothing else makes sense. Maybe flapper is not broke, but not closing all the way because of deposits or something....

I wish i could look at this car. I would fix it in an hour... MOE YOU NEED TO CHECK THE FLAPPER... Im telling you..

another source for boost leaks is the egr, whats the condition of you're egr, it could be opening and allowing air to bypass directly into the exhaust.

another thing i have seen is the turbo shaft nuts coming loose and allowing one side to spin faster than the other, but that's rare

are you still using the oem boost solenoid or have a MBC, you could try routing the hose directly off the turbo output into the wastegate and see what happens it should control boost off manifold pressure

have you took off the o2 housing to see the condition of the wg flapper and see if it has a small piece missing or if it has misaligned onto the hole, not seating right.

just some insight. :hmm:
