Mine were black and have fadded to a ugly gray color. What do you guys suggest doing? should i paint them black again and put them in. Or can they just be taken out and would it look stupid with them not there?

Zac

can anyone tell me how them come out?
Zac

jack up the car or just reach underneath and pull the metal clips off. Then just force them out. My gsx doesnt have those things and it looks just fine. I actually removed the drivers side one that it did come with because those things look retarded anyways imo.

IMO don't take them out, 1 of mine fell out and it looks retarded. It would look ok if the inside of the bumper was flush but their is like a lip there and i think it looks ugly. :thumbdown

yeah those things are ugly and should be removed. easiest way to tell a gs/rs from a gst/gsx is those covers. hell the gst comes with the drivers side one, when i got the car home from the dealership i just kicked the cover out with my foot.

They arent there on GST/X because they would block the stock IC...and they dont look as good.

You can either leave them open, or you could cut pieces of acrylic to cover the holes. It is clear, so it is not very noticeable.

i painted the ones i had on my other car and it turned out fine. why dont u try painting them first and if they look bad then remove them.

There's a product called "Forever Black" that comes in an applicator bottle that's very convenient for touching up faded trim. I use it on everything from wipers to window molding. It's not forever (is anything?). They should have named it "Several Months Black."

On the GST/X there is still one on the drivers side. I tried taking mine out, but it looked ugly IMHO. What I did was.....

Worked suprisingly well, and gives all the trim an OEM finish. Wiper arms and all. :thumb:
