I launch at 4500 and it was a 95 mph pass

If I launch at 4500 my car bogs, try slipping the clutch out and feather the throttle between 5500-6000 when you launch. You have AWD use it! :)

Alright already so something is wrong. I'll try a more aggressive launch rpm, just didn't want to break anything right now and need to tune a little more.

even if you had the worst launch on earth, you sould still trap way over 100mph, and even with a crappy tune. It seems that their is something MORE wrong, like boost leak, or something broken, something!

yeah i had or have... haven't been back to the track.. but with your same mods minus a turbo ( i'm still rockin the 14b) my trap speed was 95.... runnin way to rich... i've been tunning it for the last week we'll see what happens, i kept gettin mad power loss in 4th gear, knock city.... good luck to ya brother ... good luck to me too...

Did you try a run w/out activating "No Lift to Shift" mode to see if you could do better?
How does that feature work? Is that a TMO mod? (Newbie to MODS)

I think your tuning is junk.

My car trapped 102 mph with the 14b, stock injectors, the stock SMIC, an ACT2100, and no aftermarket fuel control. It ran low 13's all day long at those trap speeds.

This was all on pump gas.

With that setup and pump gas, you should aim for mid to high 12's (12.5-12.8). On race gas, low 12's to high 11's.

My first run that day nlts was not on, I missed second badly, not really it just wouldn't go in gear for a second or so and I'm running DSMLink. I don't know what could be the problem, everything seems to be good but when I had the t-25 my best time was 14.9 with the tranny giving out. It feels pretty fast but I guess I need to race more DSM's here to compare.Rain will probably keep the track down this weekend .

Reviewing the log of the run, my driving could have something to do with it because I never shifted over 6300 rpm, I get scared to take the car to redline because I haven't tuned it all the way out yet to see if it'll knock once it gets in that power band.

hmmm. I ran 13.0 on 14b, act 2600, 14psi, stock fuel, FMIC, 1.7xx sixty foots, 3" turbo back, stock suspension. You must be the worst driver in the world. Video tape your next run so i can see it. :thumb:

wind it out to 7... damn, i do that on my t-25 even though the boost drops off to about 13psi after 6500... hell, i launch my car at about 4500rpms and i get massive tire spin even when i slip the clutch a bit. im gonna go back to the track after i check for boost leaks and get some yokohama avs and maybe some wider rims.

you should be trapping over 100 unless you are running like garbage. i had a 1.9 60foot time cause of my tire spin and i ran a 14.5 @ 95mph. thats on nothing but an open filter, act 2100, and a 2.5-3.0 turbo back exaust, running the stock boost controller at 15 psi. you should definately be a lot faster. get your tranny checked and try running without the no lift to shift until you know how the car reacts at the track with your upgrades. its best to not just run out there with 400 new mods and upgrades and think you can just master it in 2 runs. hell, first time i went to the track i ran a 15.6 and a 14.9 cause i didnt know what i was doing. i went out on my street, practiced a few launches, and went back a few weeks later and pulled a 14.5, and i think the car is capable of a 14.3 or less with a new clutch and tires.

Hmm I think you'r def having a problem hooking and then shifting it into second.

From my own experience slightly feather the gas around 5500 and start to slip the clutch when the second amber light go's on by the time you'r tires get grip you should have rt'd at around .6 .

When shifting into second keep the car straight and dont over rev in first , because the most usable kick from the 16g wont be felt .

When shifting try not to shift pass 6500 or b4 ,that way you can fully use the gears potential and not drop out of the power band.

I ran a 13.6 on my T too small on a mixture of race gas and 94 sunoco .You really have to keep those tires warm for the best results .

I can simpathise with you , but with those modds you should at least be in the 13's .

Check for leaks in the intake track ,and MAKE shure you'r boost controler is pointing the right way.

Check the tires preasure then adjust it so it's 5-8 psi less then the recomended level.

When rt's can make or break a run you really have to look at technique , you have to make the tires squak a revolution ,by doing this you'r actually saving alot of car parts from what I call direct contact shock. So slip dont ever drop .

Keep in mind that the more you practice the better you'll become . Good luck and I hope You'r goals are realized.

dont mean to jack the thread, but what were your boost settings with the race gas? im also on a t25 and you ran almost a second faster than i did and it seems odd that you just used race gas... im a good driver to, or so i thought.

Take your time at the light. Your reaction time doesn't have any effect on your quarter mile et unless your running protree.
Let that rustang go first and concentrate on your launch.
I said it before and I'll say it again, think of your launch and the shift to second as one motion young grasshoppa'. :thumb:

edit-
eww, this thread is old. Hope he got it together.

yeah i ran 91mph at 15.3 in my stock GST with like 2.60 60 foot times which is badd! but its front wheel drive what is about normal for front wheel drive??
