Piston head help

my tranny currently went out and im going to pull the engine out and put a new tranny but while the engine is out i want to put new piston rings to help restore some HP

is it possible for me to put new rings on while the piston are still on/in the engine?

Uhhhh, no.

You have to pull the pistons, and putting new rings in does nothing without rehoning the cylinder walls. So while you have the pistons/rods out, might as well clean them and put new rod bearings in

You need to remove the pistons to install new rings bro, no way around that.
