Hello there, I have a question I'm hoping someone here can answer.
I recently installed a Pioneer AVH-P3100 head unit in my 1996 GST. Well after the install when I turn the volume past "10" I notice all my high end speakers turn off, but the subwoofer continues to work. After a few seconds the music begins again, so I would like to know if there was a cure to fixing this problem? I used to own a Kenwood DDX514 and that head unit didn't have a problem with increased volumes.
My set up is 1 10" Boston G5 subwoofer w/ and Alpine amp, Hertz 6.5" speakers w/ a Hertz amp, and then my 6x9's and tweets are ran off of the head unit power source, while the amplied speakers are receiving power through 8gu power wires. Also, an Optima Red Top is in the engine bay for power.
I think it may have something to do with voltage drop, but my gauge reads a steady 13v even when the bass hits.
