in about 2 weeks i will be buying either a dual or triple pillar not sure, yet, my first ques is if i buy the dual that just bolts up to the one already on their right?? but if i get a triple it would replace the whole side peice right, and if i get 2 gauges what should itbe, or if i get 3 what should it be, i was thinken boost,oil pressure and ????? (thas were u guys come in,)

you need a boost guage, you should also look into getting a EGT guage that measures youre Exhaust gas temperature, thatll tell you if something is going bad. you could also get a A/F guage, though its more show as its about as accurate as ray charles with a sniper rifle.

i got a dual pillar pod for about 40 that fits over the whole piece, looks clean as hell. i got all my guages the same style, so it also looks sweet.

If you get an Exhaust Gas Temp Gauge go with a nice GReddy or Apexi that can recall your peak (PEAK/HOLD).


The A/F gauge is not needed if you get the exhaust one.

Oil Pressure is pretty important. It keeps most all the turbos running on the DSM cars alive and moving.

There are more than 1 type of pillar.

One replaces the other just cups up to the stock one and is about 8 inches long.

This is for both the dual and the triple. It all depends on what you buy.

No such thing as a cheap EGT man the whole setup will cost you like 150 to 200, unless you shop on Ebay, but give the guys a RRE a look at, they seem to have the best prices on most stuff.

I would think 3 of those four would be the biggies. Especially since you said you were getting a 3 guage pillar. Are you asking what other guages you'll need or what other guages exist? How many guages you planning to have?

just get 2, 3 is too much going on, trust me, my freind has a 3 pillar on his gst, and its really annoying.

not to flame u or anything but are u not getting the the a/f and the egt gauges cause there more expensive , if ur gonna do something spend the extra money and do it right . IMO

Ok man a/f gauge can be bought for 40 bucks maybe less.........just look ebay

Im picking up a egt gauge off there (autometer ultra lite ) for 60-70 bucks you just have to find the right one and finally dont buy dumb ass gauges now and regret it later IF its the fact there more expensive just do the boost and oil pressure now ( althoug you have an oil press gauge on your cluster) and later on but the last gauge you want, loook here at my thread i have two on the pillar and just got the last one in the console

Now the consol one is not hooked up its oil press.......thats going in my GS....but i need to fill the hole till the EGT gauge gets here......Point is Just get the two for the pillar and then do the consol mod when you get money for the gauge you WANT. good luck with what ever you do hope i helped !

Hey, it makes you more aware of the washer-fluid level.....it's so neglected b/c you're just waaaaaay too busy looking at other things like turbo, oil, antifreeze, lines, etc.

Then one day you run out of washer-fluid when you need it the most and then, you're in really big trouble....soooo.....the gauge will make you more aware.

Okay.....let me stop now.
