Well, I bought an Evo2 stainless steel cat-back exhaust from Greddy for my 1995 Eclipse GST and I want to install it myself. I know it is a simple bolt on, but I have a few questions concerning it. By the way I took pictures of the greddy evo3 exhaust for all the people that wanted the pictures! Thanks!

1. Do i use the factory oxygen sensor for the pipe?

2. Should I use the flange it came with. (It came with a metal gasket, flange, 2 bolts, and 2 nuts.

3. If I do use the flange what comes first through the exhaust from the cat back? (Gasket, flange, then muffler pipe; or flange gasket then muffler pipe)

4. Where does the metal hook from middle of the exhaust pipe go?

Here are the pics

Correct

I'm not really quite sure what you are asking by these two questions, but I would use the hardware that came with the exhaust. You will want a gasket between any of the connections.

4. Where does the metal hook from middle of the exhaust pipe go?

If you are talking about the exhaust hangers, then they attatch to the underside of the car.

Installing an exhaust is a pretty straightforward install, just unbolt the old one and bolt in the new one. I think once you get under the car you will know what to do. :thumb:

Thanks for the information. Though, I still don't get the gasket part. So inbetween the pipes all I need to have is a gasket and the bolts? Cause I also got a 3cm flange also in the package.

Right, I don't know what thats for unless you want to make your own downpipe or something. As long as there is a flange on the end of the exhaust in your first picture (can't see if there is a flange there or not) then it should bolt up just fine. :thumb:

Is that flange, by any chance, for people like me with Apexi GT downpipes that don't bolt to the regular evo2? I'm looking for a cat back and I want it to bolt up to my GTdp. Could you remove the bottleneck and put that extra flange on so it will all fit?

Well I got my evo2 and that flange bolts right up to the apexi GT. Basically I will cut of that neck down area and put that flange in its place. The gasket goes between the midpipe and the rear pipe. You have to buy another gasket and two more bolts for either the cat or the dp. The rear o2 sensor will be replaced with a Bosch wideband for my plx setup. Exhausts should be a straightforward install, but removing the old one is easier said than done sometimes.
