Looking to run single digits. With a Gt-42 and 100hp-150hp shot of nitrous. All controlled by dsmlink. Car used to be a 95 talon.

With that dogmission and that turbo, I'd say trapping 120mph is going to be CAKE as long as the motor holds (good tuning). As far as the bodykit goes, I KNOW you bought the car like that, but I would seriously look into getting a better kit OR maybe just going back to the stock
look but thats all just cosmetic anyways.

God, all you nasty h8ters. I'm sure once the mods are completed, it'll easily see single-digit ¼-mile times.
And I'll get to see Nikki Cox's nice, big, round bubbies in real life before I die, too.

Well I understand all of the doubters. I would too. Especially if the car had a body kit on it. My friend really likes a good looking car. I prefer the stock body over anything. But I didn't purchase it.

Well the good news is the block is finished. All machine work is done and ready to go. Just have to plastigauge it so we can find out what size bearings we need. The GRP aluminum rods are even prettier than I expected. We ended up going with a solid beam instead of a pocketed beam. More girth you know. They only weigh 20g more a rod. So the weight won't really be noticed. The cylinder head is at BJ's right now. I am sure it will take a while. He has been known to put thing off recently.

Transmission is at magnus right now as well. We don't expect it back for at least 6-8 weeks. We got the pistons back from Arias again. Had to send back because they forgot to put the gas ports in them. Crank is finished. Had is knife edged and cyro treated.

So the ball is rolling. Began to strip the car. We went to put the 7 bolt back in the car. This is the one the previous owner sent with the car. Well one of the ears on the block where the tranny bolts to the motor was broken. Two holes where the tranny bolts to the motor had bolts broken off in the motor. The head had three studs broken off in it as well. So I guess it was just ripped out of the car. We were going to put our backup turbo on it just to get her going. It is a FD 25/44. But no motor, no car.

Plus it is race season now. So we work when we can. As the next month or two rolls by and parts come in, then we will get serious. My friend has been racing with his daughter. She ran her first 12 second pass. But she blew a freeze plug while doing so. So had to fix that. I have been racing a friends small 16g 2G. Busted that cars first 12 second pass. Keep in mind these are at 5800ft above sea level.

Things are coming along well though. I will keep everyone updated and post pictures as things allow. I will get some up of the rods and pistons. I have pictures of both, but have to take more of the new rods. The solid beam ones. Hopefully we can have her running by the end of thee race season. We are looking at EMS systems right now. We originally wanted to use dsmlink as we are familiar and run it on our other cars. But we just don't think it will help us like we want. So have been doing my research on AEM. It seems like it is the right fit for us.

Thanks for looking and taking interest everyone. We aren't out to set or break records. We just would like to run single digits. What ever it may be. Just sharing information among enthusiasts. My personal goal as the driver is to run 135mph or faster. The ET's will take practice. The mph will show what the car can do with some seat time.

Typical MS car...

I love my people but I think me and Stock are the only ones with good taste out of there

That shit went 13.0@10X before he decided to sell it... It was ugly as sin, but it went pretty good.

I'm trying to talk the ex-owner into selling me the TRE that was in ole' Purple back in the day. It's only got maybe 2k on it, and the ### decided to ditch DSMs, so he's got no use for it. :sneaky:

I am not sure if you are talking about us or the previous owner. But, our project is alive and kicking. We just placed our order for our exhuast manifold. It will be a Ron Shearer piece. Using two 44mm Tial wastegates. The manifold will put the compressor inlet down in the front bumper.

Thats the new news.

Puwahahahaha! That's one hella funny picture. However, there is something missing...oh WINGS!

I don't have a problem with the way it looks. In fact i kinda like it, if he gets it going as fast as the goals they have.

Cause usually when I see a 2G, I think of a slower car for some reason, and they look kinda girly.

Too me this 2G has kind of a sleeper look (even with the body kit, it's fairly subtle, not too ricey at all compared to many others). And I like blue.

It looks fine to me. I mean it's a project car. Sometimes you just buy whatever you can get the most bang for buck. So a 2G chassis with spare motor for 3K is not bad at all (assuming one of the motors runs?).

Not sure if I would pay 3K for a 2G rolling chassis only, when you can buy a running 1G AWD for the same price! And 1G AWD's rule!

But if I was buyin' a second or third DSM, then I might get a 2G just for the sake of variety.

No we will be stripping the car. Its almost there. I just haven't decided if I want to use the stock dash as just a shell or take it off and fabricate a small gauge cluster to hang off the fire wall. But yes. the motor that came with it was running. Along with the spare block. Plus all the parts that were sent. It was enough to make it a bone stock car with a body kit. But my friend purchased it more for the fresh paint and body work performed. It was a good deal, and it just happened to have a body kit.

We wanted a 2G though. Everyone builds 1G's for serious performance. We just want to try something different. Plus his daughters car puts down 430awhp. Its a 97 talon. That car is her daily driver to high school. Not sure if I told everyone or not, but the car does have a 97+ Eclipse turb spoiler on it.

Things are moving along. I will let everyone know when new stuff arrives.

Hey.. thats cool. I'm glad to hear this project is still going as planned. I guess the 13.00 was from the previous owner. Personally, I've seen worse looking dsm's. Any plans on selling the forced performance turbo anytime soon? Anyways, good luck, and keep us posted :thumb:

Glad to hear that the project is still up and running. Sucks it has to have a body kit on it but it doesn't suck that it has a fresh paint job on it :thumb: . Atleast it wasn't a 1g w/ a body kit, 1g body kits just dont really impress me much (no offense to anyone w/ one).

Suspension hasn't been decided yet. Not sure if we want coil overs or springs. We need adjustable dampening rates, so still in the air as far as that goes.

usually on race cars they have full coilover suspension for dampening abilities also so they are able to put the vehicle on a 4 point weight scale. this usually will tell them in what direction the car will pull to. if one corner is lighter or heavier they will adjust accordinglly.
