btrux06 said:no it doesnt even measure air temp, the translator sends the ecu a fixed number of like 80 degrees for the air temp, it never changes. that could be a good thing or bad, but i believe they had to do that cause they may not have been able to translate the temp signal so the mitsu ecu could understand it , or may not have wanted to. i may be wrong on that, but no for sure its a fixed number. same with baromtric pressure senser is fixed to i believe.

....anyways, still like the setup...MAD PROPS...

BTW, I love the Maft, the tuning method is simple as long as you have a logger.

Instead of buying an intake?????, what i am doing is i have already made 4 brackets from the local home depot and 2 clamps that will allow me to add a homemade filter from K&N and just a screen with a foam layer behind it...pics will come shortly....Just something to make without buying the intake and something that will suck my air faster with less travel...and hopefully will make the turbo sound louder when spooling.......anyways, still like the setup...MAD PROPS...

MC23 said:yea i checked all that and i do have the instructions, and i did a bunch of trial and error stuff. and couldnt get it right, i put the stock stuff back on and worked fine again.

mavisky said:Glad to see you like Dave's setup. It's probably one of the easiest to install maft piping setups out there.
Here's my custom piping setup. You must be logged in to view this image or video.
One thing i did though was to extend the wiring harness so that the maft box sits inside the car with me instead of under the hood. It allows me to make changes without having to get out of the car and under the hood every time.
91-94 had the cruise in a different spot than you, behind the intaketsibryan said:Somewhat off topic, but mavisky, can you post or PM me some info on how you moved and reattached your cruise control? I want to go blow-thru and keep the cruise. Also, how/where did you get the piping done? It looks very professional
