Did you not have instructions when you bought the Translator? White wire is the only one you are going to use. the purple wire is used if your are using let's say for example a Nitrous kit. but then again you need to read your manual. it is very important and has details on tuning and installation. if you do not have one there are many threads on this site to help you with installation and/or other sites aswell with information to help guide you through the basics of your tuning device.

http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=109081&page=2&pp=25
look under second page there is even a picture.

I got it! how I wrote my Installation is already done. Easy. My problem is in SET UP!
right now Iam Stock with only Walbro 255 and 16PSI on T25. Found I can leave everything on Zero,Only have to Adjust stock Injectors.(BASE 2)and 3"Maf
But in Future (threw winter)would like to upgrade to TO4e 50trim,680-7500cc ??inj.,FPR,FMIC,3"Turbo-Back.
I think Pocketloger is needed too?
After i upgrade that stuf will have to make Tuning!wanna make over 350awhp.(here in Czech we got 95octane fuell :thumb: standard)
So, that will be problem Because of my English is not Well to Translate and UNDERSTAND to whole Instruction! To whole Tuning! Will need a help with.
Like : howmuch is Idle?-A/F ratio etc.
Between I don´t know which data value are RIGHT!I don´t know howmuch is Knock. When the mixture is still Okay.etc.
I don´t know where to learn this things, and when I find it Still, I have to translate and Understand.
Thank you

(I have a GVR4 with 3" MAF in stock location, see my mods) For now, leave the white and purple wires disconnected. First thing you want to do is get a logger, because you might have to slightly change your settings (including injector settings) from what the instructions suggest . Start with setting up your injectors as suggested in the instructions using the BASE and AUX settings on the MAFT. You will have to drive for a little while so that the ECU can learn the new settings and adjust the fuel trims. Fuel trims update at low to moderate throttle, so just drive normally (the instructions show the AIR FLOW for the trims). You will see the trims update on the logger. I am not sure about 2G, but 1G values should be around 100. Make the adjustments to the injector (BASE and AUX) settings if you are running rich (less than 100) or lean (more than 100). Between 90 and 110 is good, but it doesn't matter as long as the numbers have room to adjust. I am running a little leaner on my HIGH TRIM (about 120), but it doesn't max out until 140. Make some full throttle pulls and monitor your O2 volts. 1G's can monitor knock, but 2G's monitor timing. Make sure you are not running too rich or too lean. You will know if you are running to rich if you are blowing dark smoke, lossing power, AND your O2 volts are in the +90V. You will know if you are running lean if you are lossing power, your timing is dropping, AND your O2 volts are -85V. I am running between 80V - 83V, with no knock. Try changing your injector settings to get the best numbers, and then adjust the HIGH setting on the MAFT to tune your wide open throttle. After you have the best tune you can get, hook up your white wire and follow the instructions to fine tune using RPMs rather than AIR FLOW. I start running lean at 5500 RPM, so I fine tuned the 5500 RPM range and I have a good tune right now. You don't need the purple wire unless you are running an injection fuel (NOX, alcohol, etc.). If you can't keep a good idle or you keep stalling out, adjust the IDLE setting.

i have a quick question. what is a better setup with the maft. a draw through setup before the turbo or a blow through. what are the pros and cons of both. i do not care about venting more about a more accurate reading.

p.s. i already have a SAFC2 and is it advised to keep it or just use the translator tuning features

blowthrough doesn't have any cons, just pros (Venting bov, if pipe pops off your car wont die on you). The other method is like your stock setup, can't vent bov, or if your pipe pops off your screwed :).

I have the draw thru setup and I have not had any problems tuning. Since I don't care about venting either, I will stick with draw thru.

here's a picture of mine. its a dejon setup. i still need to add different couplers and t-bolt clamps. because the ones they provide are horrible

there's a guy at DSport, running low/mid 10's with maft on draw throught. And no, he's not venting OMG
