Walcott,
Iowa
just picked up a gst ( my first FWD) And when i got it, It had some problems starting. The after market theft alarm went bad causing a short from the ignition to starter.. Easy fix.
It has an autometer boost gauge that was reading -15 vacc.. And the car had some jenky couplers on the IC piping that have a tendency to blow off..
Well on my way home earlier the gauge started to read -20 and the boost was goin a little higher than normal (didnt want to see how much it was boosting)
Got home popped the hood and on the vaccuum outlets on the throttle body( like the three nipples and one goes to BOV) They are all elliminated btw.. So they have little caps on em.. And the middle one blew off driving. Could this be the reason for the bad vac/boost readings? Other than that the car drives like a rape ape.
Ps Sorry for the bad grammar few too many beers tonight
