Picked her up yesterday!

Finally after searching for a long time I found her! 97 GSX with 57,000 miles. Needs a little bit of work to get her in tip top shape, but it already has an exhaust, it's lowered, and has what I think is a 16G. Turbo say "TD05H" on it... from what I read that's a good thing

It's running rich right now, so it seems... it backfires a lot. Also, there seems to be a lot of turbo lag. Could this be because the previous owner took off his intake and put the stock airbox back? or could an intake a least help some with the lag? Any other tips are welcome... and yes... I already know about the search feature and the tuning guide

I gotta say congrats man that Eclipse is NICE!! i know the body / rims are stock and all but that car just looks so clean... like it just came off the showroom floor... I wish that i would've had the money to put down back in 99' on a new red gsx 5 speed.

Actually, it did just come off the showroom floor . Got it from a dealership... that I wouldn't go to again (long story... got me mixed up with another customer :thumbdown ) But they did a nice job cleaning her up... and the previous owner must have taken really good car of the exterior... didn't find one scratch

running rich+backfire usually originates from boost leaks. And since your saying that the lag is too intense, than I would most likely say its a boost leak somewhere.

I second that. Try doing this here to check for boost leaks.
