pic request blacktails on a silver 2g gst.

hey. i got a 98 silver gst and i dont like all the ricer lookin' altezza tails, but i like the clean look of black outs. they look great on a black car, i've seen plenty of that, but i've never seen it on a silver. any body done this? or think it would look good/bad?

what was that just photoshopped? has anyone done this with that "nightshades" crap? is it anygood, hard to do? does it look bad when you put on the brakes and the tails light up?

Yea I chopped it but you get the jist, I think it looks awesome.

The niteshades stuff will look pretty much just like that, if you do ir right and take your time, so you dont get runs. My Tails are tinted with that stuff and they look darn good.

so do you just take the lights off the car spray that stuff on the outside of them let it dry and thats it? no clear coat or anything like that?

I wet sanded them a lil bit withh 1500 grit, then did 2 coats of niteshade then 2 coats of clear. I did it on my old rx7 but no sanding and no clearcoat then afterawhile it slowly peeled off the drivers tail light. All my cars since I've cleared and had no problems.

Well I actually found these lights on EBay while searching for altezzas...go figure huh. I searched for "smoked altezzas" and some guy was selling these. I don't know if any company makes these lights but it'd be worth a shot to search. And by real I meant they look like the factory tails except gray/black. I've seen some horrible attempts at "smoked" tail lights. I like mine, definitely stands out in the crowd. I put some red bulbs in so at night my tails appear a bright orangish - red color. Cops haven't bugged me about the lights so that's another plus. Anyway good luck searching for them.

you cant really do that with niteshades; it will make your stockers a darker and darker red until they are just black.

Wow that is very sick looking. I am going to do that to my taililghts, wonder if it would look good on a Talon light set, or should I wait to convert to Eclipse Tails?
