phantom knock

i read up all night on phantom knock, didnt find a thread that pertained to my situation.

so,, more often then not, above 6k rpms i get knock. i've had timing pulled down so low while diagnosing this, that with the additional timing being pulled by the ecm for the knock, my timing will be ATDC. i hit 30psi on boostleak tests and find no serious leaks, the only leak im aware of is a stream of tiny bubbles coming out of the blow off valve.

in the same pull, the car could knock in one gear, then i shift and it will pull cleanly, no knock at all. i can free rev and hit knock at 5k rpms. when it knocks during wot pulls it knocks big time, and it knocks exactly the same with race gas in the tank.

i have little to no lifter tick, my engine has less then 5k on it, i did reuse my lifters from another engine, but i ported the head oil feed to supply more oil to the top end, and the end result is no lifter tick at idle.

i have tried different advance auto knock sensors, as i have lifetime warranty and they replace the sensors no questions asked, i have read that the parts store sensors are rebranded oem sensors, if thats not the case i could see it being a good idea to pay the big bucks for an oem sensor,, but idk i have free new parts store sensors. any ideas where i should start with this?? when i get no knock ,this thing pulls like a raped ape. im running a 20g with a billet kts wheel and this is walling me off from my upper rpms, i've seen 42lbs a minute on 18psi in link, quite healthy for low boost and short shifting.

Since you say that it knocks the same with timing pulled and race gas, it could be phantom knock. What are the afr's that you are seeing when you get knock? It might be a good idea to post a log so people can help you diagnose your problem.

i gotta figure out how to post a log from my dinosaur logger computer, thing barely runs a browser. my afrs are about 11.2-11.5, and my globals/deadtime seems quite dialed in.
