phantom knock causing timing retard

i have a 90 talon, while driving i get about 43 counts of knock, this causes a major timing retard wich makes my car bog really bad, i have a 3" gm maf w/ trans., exhaust, pocketlogger, walbro 255, FPR and other little things, what is causing this??

check ur timing. mine did this when i was WAAAAY to adavanced when i bought the car
