Good luck. Magazines can't afford a half-dozen manifolds any more than we can. They primarily test items that are submitted to them, often in partial exchange for advertising costs.... which of course would never skew the results, or cause a testing method to favor one given design over another. For the most part, they really would like to cater to our whims, but circulation numbers just aren't sufficiently boosted by helping out drivers of cars that are as old as ours, and are frankly becoming much more trouble to the manufacturer than they were ever worth.

And for god's sake, only post it in ONE area, regardless what forums you go to.

Legal Drag-Strip Petition

South Florida tuners need your help!!!

This petition was written to persuade the board of Broward County to set aside a slot of land and build a drag racing strip where legal drag-racing can occur.

Please sign this petition regardless of where you live, it will help tuners of all south florida. I will continue to "bump" this thread as needed.

Sorry, I opose this.
I am all for the idea of a private funded drag strip, but petitioning the city/county/state etc. to fork over the land and bill the tax payers, just to keep would-be law breaking streetracers from street racing is bullsh1t. How bout you and your pals raise the money, buy the land, build the fu(kin thing.

Even if we could raise the money, theres also the problems with zoning and such...

I do clearly understand what your saying but dont adress me directly upon this issue, I merely signed the petition and am spreding the word.

Its a great idea. Just keep in mind we did the same thing here in Connecticut and got over 20000 signatures and it didnt do very much.

It would be nice if they dynoed each manifold like what AMS did with the cams.

Modified mag would be all over that.

I am all for it guys. If you could get all the other intake manifolds together and we had a 350ish HP street car as the test mule. A 1G would be nice. Easier to change out manifolds than a 2G.

I would even offer up our dyno to do the test. I am always up for some R&D work. Without it mankind would be in the dark.

But then again I doubt that anybody would donate or even loan one of their intakes to another shop for an intake shoot-out.
