Does anyone know if there is a difference between a 97 RS pcm(automatic), and a 98 GS pcm(also auto)? I found the 97 pcm for very cheap. Thank you for your time.

the 97 pcm out of the rs (auto) will work on the 98 gs( auto) , its the same engine the 2.0 n/t it will work.
