So the end of the story - did he admit to not tuning it, did he just refund some/all money...?
Sounds like you did'nt setup your laptop to log correctly. You have to put in a little effort as well. How much hp did you expect on the HX-35 .55 a/r combo?
500awhp has been made
On the hx35 .55
Ar bep, 600awhp has been made with the hx40 in the .55 bep as well. I'm shooting for 600 with my hx40

shit, better stack up on the magnus head studs

I have normal arp 2000 head studs and i don't think they will hold over 32 psi. I need to get the magnus studs before i blow a hg the felpro permatorque mls has been doing nicely so far at 27psi on the 6152 but that turbo is long gone and i need to be set for 40 psi, good thing is magnus is gonna be 45 min drive from where I'm going to be going to school, in oakville ontario for welding techniques
Do the magnus head studs drop in, in place of the arps? I have a 6 bolt block 7 bolt head, and they were both machines to accept the arp2000s if i can take the arps out with out having to change the head
Gasket or take anything off.... Then i wanna do that. I don't think i can though.
it's not so much "psi" as it is airlfow... my felpro and ARP 2000's held over 30psi on 16gand on 57 trim (both by accident but for a full gear pull at least on each (maybe a few more times tilli noticed it was burying the gauge this was years ago)
now i've popped HG's and stretched ARP 2k's on the holset, I think it's a combo of airflow past the 50lb/min and the pressure you make of it with timing, as well as how many times you've taken the ARP's out and put them backin.
I now have the l19/H11 set and i'm still on felpro composite and blew m,y trans as mentioned before at 31'ish psi and and 522hp, when i was lifting the head at a tad less boost on ARPs' 2k's
EDIT: YES,when i put the last HG on my car all i had was the bad ARPs, then i rode motorcycle to a guys place about an hour and something from here bought a new set he had (traded my old MSD DIS-II for them since i was sellingit for the price to buy some and no takers on here), I just pulled one ARP 2k at a time, placed the H11's in and torqued one at a time and been happily boosting the hell out of my felpro composite 28 dollar gasket since, also they don't have directions with them but i have a .pdf on my computerfromthem listing that 6 bolt ones goto IIRC 100 ft/lbs, not 120 or the other style 80 as i often read on herem and the info i have is FROM ARP, the 7 bolt ones torque to 90 or 85 though IIRC but they have less torque because of smaller diameter. I would also say uy the H11's becuse instead of being flat where they can't be tightened or need turned back 1/2 turn before torquiing, they have a narrow point toallow you to bottom them safely without damaging the blocks threads
with the hx40 i plan to be seeing the full 70lb a min
