Hello everyone, I know there are a crap laod of inspection questions on the forum, Mine is alittle diffrent. I am looking to picking up a second Talon this one is a 1998 TSI with a 6 bolt. If I use the AEM EMS to delete the MAF and tune it, can it still pass the OBDII scan part of the inspection? and will this swap even pass NY inspection?

I am looking into building this one to be a mainly strip car, but I would like to drive it out every so often, I dont want the hassle of changing everything over for an inspection. Most places just look the car over then scan the car's OBDII then pass it.

The AEM EMS will not pass the OBDII scan since it doesn't have an OBDII port at all.

Thanks that is very helpfull! OK so say we use DSMlink, which I have heard is better then AEM, and go speed density, If I remove the invalid monitors, will it pass? and thanks again guys for the help

I dont want to run a MAF, so I wonder if im going to have to switch my plan and got for a 95 talon instead of the 98. If I go 95 I can run the AEM EMS because it only needs to pass saftey inspection, not OBDII
