My 93 TSI AWD will probably become a parts car soon. I am trying to get it off my concrete slab to no avail.

The slave cylinder is off of it.

Shouldn't I still be able to push it if the vehicle is in neutral?

If it can be pushed in neutral, can someone please tell me how to get the tranny in neutral without the shifter cables in place?

Car has been sitting for 2 years, maybe it is stuck for other reasons?

Thanks

It should be movable, probably just stuck. At my job it took 4 of use to push a m3 that was sitting for maybe a year. It was not moving at all at first, took alot of effort.

Thanks, how do I know it is neutral though without the shifter cables being connected? I'd hate to push and push in vain.

Sure that I don't have to put the slave back up?

Brakes rust. Push harder. Just grab the shifter on top of tranny and move it. Neutral shiuld feel obviois.

Thanks, maybe obvious to a pro like you. So no slave required? I could put it back if needed.

You dont need a clutch to shift a non running car. Just shift it.
Ok thanks, So what does neutral feel like at the shift levers? Do I need to move both?

I tried to pull it with my focus today. No luck. I then grabbed my caravan 3.8 AWD with it's awesome Chrysler Transmission. Was finally able to move it!

wow a focus didn't pull it? pretty surprised! didn't think it'd be that tough.

Seriously, it wouldn't pull it. I tried with a ratcheting strap like 10 times and didn't want to wreck the clutch. My Focus is an old MK1 with a receiver hitch on the back mind you. :)
