:banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: Im so damn tired of buying parts ive spent around 5 or 6 k in the last 6 months. Anyway I need a short shifter for a 1GB. According to Extremepsi nobody makes one for the 1G anymore. Any suggestions. Im new to DSM's still so im not sure if the 2g would work at all. Also im sure some will say check the classifields and what not but I really just like buying brand new parts.

That JNZ one looks like it will raise the shifter quite a bit. They are already ridiculous in height in stock form. A good and easy mod would be to cut an inch or so off the top of a stock shifter and have someone weld it back together. It doesn't matter which side of the fulcrum you are taking mechanical advantage away from. You can also get a good effect by drilling holes closer to the fulcrum on the arms that are actually on the transmission. It's amazing how people will ghetto rig other such important things, but they won't do DIY mods on something so simple, such as a shifter, and spend $150.
