I drove my car home last night. Not a problem in the world. I go to start it this morning and nothing. It cranks but wont fire. Everything is plugged in. The car has a new fuel pump as of 8000 miles ago. I didnt replace it cause it was bad. i rebuilt my engine last summer and freshened up some of my parts on the car at the same time. Is there an emergency fuel pump cutoff switch in these cars. My stangs had them. it has been dumping snow all week here in CO. allot of snow fell of my roof onto the side of my car last night. That is why i am wondering about a cutoff switch. Other than that i have no Ideas.
Checks I just did. I checked the fuel pump relay (mpi I think its called) Its working. I can hear an feel it clicked when I turn my ignition on. This suck as my car is covered in snow right now. The car ran great last night. I dont understand. I put ten bucks in it yesterday and drove maybe 20 miles on the high estimate. Plus its snowing like hell here right now so I wasnt driving around with my foot in it.
Car has spark. Fuel pump sounds like its firing up when I cycle the key. I think its fuel related though, If i cycle the key enough times it fires for a second then dies, it does have fuel in the tank. I put more in just to make sure my gauge was inacurate. I can hear the injectors fire while a friend cranks the car over.
