palmOS on laptop not working

I been tryin to get it to work and not havin any luck. Im using a standard logger cable and a keyspan cable with a gender changer between them to connect them. I read the link on how to use it but for some reason it wont let me change the device to mIII, the only option it has is m505. Any help?

Mine worked OK and I use a similar setup to yours- I was concerned because my logger cable was homemade, but it still worked.

Does your laptop read the Keyspan adapter OK (meaning does it "ding" when you plug in the USB)?

Im having the same problem,im just using the db9 port i can kill my injectors but cant log or check cel's??

Yes the computer makes the noise when i plug it in and it also shows which com port its in so it knows the cable is there. I just cant get the damn emulator to read anything. Were either of you guys able to change the device at the start new emulator session screen?

You need a null modem cable, not a gender changer... yes there is a difference.

K just went and got a null modem cable and it still doesnt work.My conclusion...palm emulator is ###in ###.
